If your vacation isn’t complete without a round of golf, you’re in luck. Iron Mountain offers a couple of high quality golf courses where you can feed your need for green grass, good conversation, and little white balls that fly straight and true.

Whether you want a laid back time on a straightforward course or you’re looking for a challenge, we have a golf course for you. Tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll help you find the game that will fit in exactly with your needs.

Timberstone at Pine Mountain

Timberstone is one of the most popular golf courses in the area, and for good reason. They’re consistently listed as one of the top 10 golf courses in Michigan and one of the top 100 Best Resort Courses in the United States. It’s also rated 5 stars by Golf Digest. If you’re a golf aficionado and you haven’t played Timberstone yet, it’s time to get a round in.

The course features tree-lined greens, giving the impression that it was simply carved out of the forest. You’ll often see animals when you play Timberstone, as foxes, deer, rabbits and more live in the nearby woodlands. It also features lakes and streams in ways that bring nature into the course, rather than making the course separate from the surrounding area.

If you want to experience the beauty of Michigan’s upper peninsula in a unique way, playing Timberstone could offer the opportunity you’ve been looking for. We can help set you up with clubs, transportation, and even a tee time.

Oak Crest Golf Course

Oak Crest golf course in nearby Norway, MI, is also a popular place to play. While still a fine course, Oak Crest is more laid back than Timberline. If playing a top-of-the-line course doesn’t matter to you, Oak Crest may be more your pace.

This is also a spectacularly beautiful course, running through the forest as if it were a natural part of it. With rolling hills and water elements that seem to have been put in place by God himself, the course offers a great way to see Michigan’s countryside at your leisure.

You can rent equipment here and take golf lessons, too. This makes the course perfect for beginning golfers or for parties with varying levels of golfing experience among the members. When you’re done with your game, grab a burger or some pizza at the on site restaurant, sit back, and enjoy the peace and quiet. After all, you deserve a rest after you’ve played 18 holes!

If you need a tee time or are interested in golfing but need to rent clubs while you’re here, let us know when you book your cabin. We’ll help you get everything set up before you arrive, so you can enjoy your time here without hassle or stress. If you decide you want a tee time after you arrive, we can help you get that lined up, too. We want you to have the golfing experience you desire when you come visit us.
